Bottlenose dolphins are perhaps the most adaptable of all cetaceans. They face many potential threats in their day-to-day lives, traumatic death and injury such as collisions with boats, underwater explosions caused by military activity and entanglement. Marine pollution is particularly harmful to dolphins as they are at the top of the food chain. Dolphins eat fish which have previously eaten smaller animals and plants, which accumulate contaminates from the water.

Care for the Wild International (CWI) supports the Cetacean Research and Rescue Unit (CRRU) and their benign research into the bottlenose dolphins living in the Moray Firth. The insights CRRU`s marine biologists are gaining into the dolphins` world will help us conserve them more effectively. But this is long-term project and further help is needed.

You can help by adopting a dolphin. By doing so you will also help to maintain the dedicated marine mammal rescue service, operated by CRRU, which saves many stranded dolphins, whales and porpoises from unnecessary death every year. Your unique Dolphin gift pack will include:
