Dam Buster Sightseeing FlightDescriptionIn March 1943, the Lancaster crews of 617 Squadron began training for a top secret mission. Based at Scampton in Lincolnshire, the Squadron’s training was conducted along the Derwent Valley in the Derbyshire countryside west of Sheffield.
