If you have an interest in motor sport and an ambition to be a rally driver this could possibly be the greatest opportunity of your life! Silverstone Rally School is directly opposite the world famous Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit, and they are on a mission to find a future lady star to participate in a series of rallying events at no cost to themselves. The winning entrant will receive a package worth in excess of £30,000 including the use of a fully expensed and supported rally car to live the ultimate driving experience.

Assessment days will be held during the year, where you will be instructed on the technical and theory of rally driving. Throughout the day a team of experienced instructors will support you in turning the theory into practice on a special stage.

You will learn highly skilled basics of car control making you a more confident driver and be instructed by highly skilled qualified rally drivers who are licensed by the MSA (The governing body of UK motorsport). This is your opportunity to take on the men in this very male dominated sport!!

After the final assessment day the top ten female entrants will be invited back for the grand final. The day will comprise of further training and then a final assessment on your personal abilities allowing us to select a champion for the following year. To qualify for entry you must hold a full UK driving license and not have previously held a motorsport license. Remember the only cost to enter is the fee for the initial assessment day and for this you will certainly get some adrenalin pumping action!

There are limited places and great demand so we would advise you to book your assessment day as soon as possible!

To Start the day - Sign on, relax with a coffee, introduction to the day’s instructors, informal lecture on the basic principles of rally driving techniques and car control delivered by our qualified instructors in our purpose built training room.
Practice 1 - Power sliding, after a short demonstration by your instructor, each delegate will in turn take the driving seat and practice the basic .sideways. control using maneuvers that co-ordinate power and steering balance.
Practice 2 - Hand brake turns, again following a short demonstration, each pupil practices handbrake turns, hard cornering and car positioning techniques through a sequence of tight corners on our special stage.
Practice 3 - Another driving session where the two techniques above are combined and reinforced with surprising results!!
Lunch
After Lunch - Each delegate will drive the full special stage a number of times with the instructor monitoring the techniques practiced earlier in the day, encouraging the build up of confidence and speed. The authentic .arrowed. route featuring fast and slow bends, straights and different surfaces testing your new skills and ability to the full.
And Finally - The hot seat ride. The instructor takes the wheel and gives each delegate a passenger ride at authentic rally speed around the full stage absolutely awesome! Feel the adrenaline level rise as the car and driver reaches the .on the edge limit.
Calm down - You will be assessed by the instructor all afternoon. After a De-brief, the instructor’s summarise the day’s activities giving advice and distributing the assessment forms and Silverstone Rally School certificates to all delegates.
