Description

You will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with some real hands on time with parrots of all sizes.

The day starts at 10:30 with an introduction into the sanctuary with some history on parrots and parrot keeping. It`s then time for a guided tour around the sanctuary and seeing for yourself what happens within the only parrot sanctuary in the country. You will then sit down for lunch where you can have a general relaxed chat over your day so far. Then it`s time for some real hands on experience where you will participate in everything from assisting sick parrots to feeding the large macaws in their aviary with a little environment enrichment thrown in.

Things you need to know

Your experience will last for approximately 5 hours.

There will be a maximum of five other participants on the day.

You need to be reasonably fit to be able to participate in this activity.

The minimum age for this activity is 14 years old.

Unfortunately, you can`t bring friends or family along to watch you do this activity.
