Description

Zapcat is an utterly unique experience and spectator sport. Originally developed in South Africa as a surf rescue boat they have now become the world`s most popular craft on the powerboat racing circuit. Basically an inflatable catamaran with a heavyweight engine strapped to a lightweight twin hull. They jump the waves in spectacular style, the design of the zap cat enables it to reach extreme speeds and out manoeuvre any other craft on the water. Its 50hp outboard engine will fire you across the water with the acceleration of a formula one racing car, feel the adrenalin rush, not as a passenger but as a co-pilot, it is your responsibility to ensure the boat makes the 90 and 180 degree turns at 40+mph.

You will be wearing drysuits, lifejackets and helmets as safety is paramount on this high speed exhilarating adventure, pushing the limits in time trials for an experience that you will never forget... Or maybe it will be just the start of a new journey and you will not escape the Vortex?

Things you need to know

Minimum Age 16 - Under 18s require parental consent. This is an extreme activity so those who have physically limiting conditions, are pregnant etc. should consult their doctor or their activity consultant. Minimum Height 4` 10" Maximum Height 6` 4" - Maximum Weight 20 Stone.

Other Information

You will depart the marina in a high speed 10.5m RIB for 2 hours of fun on the water a fantastic way to spend the morning or afternoon on the Solent and then you will ride in one of the world famous Zapcats as seen on the Extreme Sports Channel.

Spectator Information:

Unless a paying participant there are no view points for spectators apart from departure or arrival at the marina, you could always have a meal and a relaxing drink watching the world go by... there are worse things that you could be doing.
